Morning ladies!

So, waiting for a call from the doc but, has anyone else suffered with swollen feet and ankles?

It doesn't help that im a carer and work on my feet, running around like a headless chicken and we don't get a break on a 6 hour shift but... My feet now both swell daily and ankles if ive been working, when they have gone down they are so tender, almost feels as though they are bruised but there is no visible bruising?

How can i stop this or improve it? I can barely walk at the end of a day, 26 weeks pregnant btw, not sure if thats relevant xxx

@terri995, as a pregnant woman you should be entitled to a break every so often no matter how many hours you work so your able to rest your joints and have a breather even if it is only a 5/10 minute break x

My risk assessment was done by my manager, i had a read it just says i can't work with certain residents due to violence, i am not required to take the residents for cigarettes and i am not to heavy lift or work night shift, breaks weren't mentioned as we dont get one x

Im a dementia and end of life carer so we have emergency buzzers going off left, right and center, so im constantly on the go, i dared sit and put my feet up talking to a resident yesterday and got in trouble for relaxing whilst on shift so i cant help myself.. X

I'm a carer as well, I just started my maternity leave last week (I'm 36 weeks 5 days) and I am so glad that I did, it's a very tiring job. My feet would swell up like anything when I was at visits (I'm a domiciliary carer so I go to people's homes) the only things that really helped were drinking lots, wearing comfy shoes, and sitting with my feet elevated when my shift was over. As the weather cools down the swelling you get should improve a bit, but there isn't much else you can do xx

I haven't had too bad of a time with swelling this entire pregnancy.. Just the occasional minimal ankle swelling when I've been on my feet all day.. But now my feet have ballooned up and I had them up! I wasn't on my feet. Should I be concerned?

goldilocksn4bears I think it's so important that the first person she sees is her mommy immediately after birth.
kiss3sfroml33 I agree thankfully my doc is all about skin to skin immediately after birth. Plus that rooms
