so today I lost my job and I'm almost 24 weeks pregnant and don't think anyone will hire me now. I am getting a separation certificate tomorrow from the boss so I can get centerlink payments. but will i still get parental pay from them when bubs born. I'm stressed out!! I need an income!
Aw u should def be able to get parental paid leave through centrelink then :) it'll all work out hehe ! Goodluck ! xx @rinajade
my bump still stick out lol.. I will just say I'm due mid January and not end of December but then just quit in December 😋 I haven't been unemployed for over 4 years till now. thanks for ur reply @amybee x
Wear loose clothes and pretend u don't know :) Also As long as u have been employed for 3/4 of the year then u can still get parental through centrelink.. Try not to stress it's not good for u or baby :) hope it all works out xx
yep! I just dno if I'm gonna be eligible for parental leave pay now??? I'm due Dec 31st and I'm worried I'm now gonna miss out on 18 weeks pay thru centerlink when bubs born. it's gonna be so hard now that I don't have a job and no income.. I'd be so lucky to get a job now with being pregnant. dno what to do :(
Yea I'd definitely be taking it further! Stuff that!!! What a bitch! Xxx
I'm glad you're going for unfair dismissal. That's not okay! Hope everything works out for you xxx
thanks so much ladies. My boss was a bitch and terminated me for no real reason. so I'm taking it further for unfair dismissal! she was always telling me to make up time for antenatal appointments and doc appointments too and then wanted to drop my hours. feels like she did it cus I'm pregnant.
You can start getting the new start (I think) whilst your pregnant but they will still make you look for work, also like Kayleigh said do the claim now because they take sooo long! And you can go onto the Centrelink website and do the estimator to see how much you may get. :)
@rinajade, that's okay! Unfortunately isn't never as much as you think it is. Call up the families line and have a chat to someone so you get a heads up with how much you're eligible for so you don't end up being disappointed :)
thanks for ur reply @kayleighandcharlotte yeah I think that's what I ment lol I just don't wanna miss out on the 18 weeks pay when bubs born
thanks heaps @amybee need all the luck I can get xx
I am worried to get income before then though. hubby earns to much for me to be eligible for a livable amount through centerlink
