Alrighty, of course I'm going to call my doctor.. But I want some opinions since I am a first time mom. For the last week I've been experiencing period like cramps, they haven't been too bad but enough for me to notice and have to sit down. Then tonight I keep getting weird bouts of stomach cramping and nausea where I feel like I'm getting a stomach virus. I've also had a teeny bit of discharge which I know is normal during pregnancy but I haven't had any discharge my entire pregnancy until now. I haven't had anything that seems like a contraction or Braxton hicks which is the only reason why I'm questioning this. I was reading that my symptoms are common symptoms of preterm labor, but I haven't had any contractions that I know of. Is it possible to go into preterm labor without feeling any contractions?? Baby girl is still kicking around like crazy, so I'm relieved about that. But I just want some opinions. I could just be having regular pregnancy symptoms. But I just want some of your opinions and experiences.
I mean they could be preterm labor symptoms but I PROMISE, I felt like crap for weeks. Hahaha. Especially the cramping, that was the worst part. I wouldn't freak out too much. :)
@darianweaver, thank you so much! Everywhere I read my symptoms are preterm labor symptoms but I know that all of those can be normal pregnancy symptoms too! At least I'm not having contractions!
I've been in the hospital three times with preterm contractions and had to have shots to stop them. Each time I just felt really BAD cramps. The contraction monitor got up to 50 and they were regular but I wasn't feeling anything at all that felt like what people have described contractions to feel like, just intense constant cramping that I COULDN'T bear. But if you can handle it, you're probably okay. Probably just normal cramping.
