Ok so I'm breast pumping but I feel my right breast bruced, and hard like if I have milk clogged up. Idk but it hurts. Does anybody know what it might be
@lizramos1, it should be fine for the weekend just make an appointment next week. Clogged ducts are normal to get every once in awhile, you just don't want it to get bad enough it turns into mastitis because that's a pain to deal with.
See the thing that sucks is that there closed on weekends
@lizramos1, make sure you are nursing the baby on both sides and then also pumping on Both side too. Keep massaging the clogged side, if it gets inflamed call your dr. It's really common to get clogged ducts during breastfeeding. It shouldn't affect your baby at all.
Try nursing and pumping from that side a lot. That's what helped me get through it twice. But don't solely nurse from that side or you'll get mastitis from your other boob.
@lizramos1, if it gets red or very painful call your dr, it could be mastitis and you usually need antibiotics for that
Could be a clogged duct, put a warm wet rag on it and massage it for a bit
Because I have to be on mental health medication after birth I am unable to breastfeed😔 what are some good formulas for babies? I know breast is best but I can’t be on the medication I need and breast feed.
I need to find a breast pump that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. :(
Breast feeding is a full time job I really want to give up already 😢
I wana use this breast pump
Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared...
Ok thank u. I'll just do the warm rag for now hopefully it gets better
