I'm 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and every time I fall asleep at night, I sleep on my side, but then I continuously wake up on my back. Is it bad to sleep on your back this far along? Does it hurt my baby?
The thing is is that when I'm on my back, I'm not uncomfortable and it doesn't hurt. But i wake up every time I go on my back 😔 with my first son, I couldn't sleep on my back at all! He wouldn't let me! But I never knew what the effects were if there were any
I was 40 weeks and I could sleep on my stomach still👌🏼 my obgyn said your body will let you know what you can and can't do when you lay! My daughter was born perfectly fine😊💕
maybe add another pillow for your head. then when your on your back your not completely flat? I had to stop sleeping on my back alot earlier this pregnancy then my last. I would get nauseous and light headed. it really depends on where your baby is at. try it out on your back and just see how you feel :) might have to get something for the acid reflux :/ luckily I've never had to deal with that so I'm not much help there lol
@mdomke22, I'm just so uncomfortable on my sides. I try to sleep on my left side cuz they say it's better, but when I sleep on either side I get profuse acid reflux :( I haven't had a good nights sleep in weeks!
I used to sleep on my sides when I wasn't pregnant but now I wake up on my back and I'm much more comfortable that way so I don't usually move. I've always been told you'll know when you can't sleep a certain way anymore
