I'd like to hear everybody's induction stories! I'm being induced on Friday due to high blood pressure and want to see if it's as terrible as everyone plays it out to be. Share how far along you were and the reason for being induced!🤗

i was scheduled to go in on a sunday.. once i got there they cheked my cervix and i wasn't dialated at all.. they gave me a pill to soften my cervix but it didn't work.. on monday around 9 am they cheked me again and still nothing so they put me the foley balloon and started the pitocin. . on Tuesday i started to get contractions so they gave me medicine through iv twice but it didn't made my pain go away it just made me dizzy.. ao around 5 am tuesday y asked for the epidural. after they cheked the foley balloon and too it out and ended being at 4. so around 6:30 they broke my water.like at 9 they had me start pushing but i just couldn't do it so they took the epidural off. they had me push again at 11:30. they said i only had 3 hrs to push or it will en in c-section. . like at 1p.m they decided to do. an episiotomy bc my baby's head wouldn't come out .. so after all the pushing, my baby was born at 1:13p.m 48 hrs in labor. . and alot if pushing. . it was a really a hard labor . but at the end it was all worth it. .

I was 39 weeks and 6 days, I went in at 6am, and had her at 3:33pm the same day. it was an amazing experience for me. I only pushed for 10 minutes and she was out. BUT I had pitocin, and omg the back contractions where terrible, other then that it went smoothly. The epidural is a life saver 😆

I was induced for high blood pressure too and protein in my urine. It went perfectly fine! Both me and baby were healthy the whole time. I don't know why people make such a big deal about being induced. I hardly felt my contractions and I was in labor for 12 hrs. The labor part was pretty easy for me. But pushing was hard for me, that's the only thing I had a hard time with bc I have asthma. Everyone is different though. Don't get too freaked out.

ill just say I had a natural and a induced labor and ill take the natural no nothing way . being induced those forced contraction for the meds makes the contractions hit much harder and they were in my back I lasted till8cm. but my god! but its no horror to it just a faster pace for some and fast for others for me took 2 days and prayers to get the show on the road because they started me on the meds and the 2nd day nothing was really happening so they were about to send me home I prayed and boom my contractions started it was still a process but once I got to about 6cm I was dilating pretty fast and it made me get the epidural . with my son I had him natural no IV nothing he came pretty fast but I believe now looking back I was in the beginning stages of labor the previous day. dont be afraid do what is best for u and baby because everyone ! is different and so is every! pregnancy cool be just fine.

I was induced at 39w4d. Doctor didn't like the way things looked at my nst so she decided to induce me. I went in Friday and didn't have her until Saturday at 10:39pm. Ended up in a c section because I got a fever and her heart rate was high. I don't remember much of it, I was pretty much out of it the entire time. All I remember is the contractions, then getting the epidural and then not being able to keep my eyes open until I had her.

Here is mine! (Copy and pasted from my page) On the 1st, I got a call for my preeclampsia results. They wanted me to come in! So obviously something was wrong. The dr said I had mild preeclampsia, and they're going to induce me that night. He sent me home to get ready and come back, at 6:30 that day we went back and around 8 they inserted a gel that thins and helps my cervix get ready for labor. I contracted ALL night, 1-3 minutes apart! Then in the morning, August 2nd, they checked me and I was a 2 and a half. They decided to do another gel hoping that would really get things going before they started pitocin. They inserted it at I wanna say 8, which made my contractions 10x worse then the night before! I could barley handle them! They checked me around 11 and I was a 3 and a half. So they started pitocin around 12, and I was a 4. I decided to get the epidural while I was getting the pitocin because I knew it was going to make my contractions even worse and I couldn't handle that. The epidural honestly didn't hurt! It was just weird and uncomfortable. They were going to break my water at 2 pm but I felt it trickle around 1:30 by itself, so they decided to wait a little while hoping after my water broke that I would dilate more. Around 4, they checked me and I was still a 4 and she felt my water bag still kinda intact, I guess it was just leaking, it didn't break completely. So she broke it with her fingers and instantly I went to a 4 and a half. Then they decided once again to see if that would help me dilate, they checked again around 5 something and I was a 5. Then around 6 something, she checked me again and laughed and said "you're ready to have a baby"

I went from a 4 to 10 in 2 hours! She let baby slowly come down on his own before I started pushing, and around 7:10 I started pushing, but couldn't feel anything at all (thank god for that epidural) the dr said she knew I would tear so she was going to give me an episiotomy so it would go faster. I could feel his head coming out with my hand, it was so freaky! Almost an hour of pushing and he came out at 8:02

I didn't even push him out, my last few contractions did that for me since he was so close! His cord was around his neck and he was grunting instead of crying so they had to give him an oxygen mask, and if it continued he'd go to NICU but he started crying and breathing fine 3 minutes later! I bawled like a baby hearing him cry! We did skin on skin for two hours. A couple hours ago the epidural wore off and now I can feel everything, the stitches, tear, my stomach feels weird from being all empty and working so hard. But it was all worth it to have this little man in my arms 💓💓 induction isn't as bad as they say it is. I'm honestly so blessed to have had such an easy and smooth labor and delivery 😇

I was 41 weeks, I failed a non stress test at my doctors appointment and he sent me to the hospital for another test, I failed that one too so they decided to induce me, I started on pitocin on a Monday then a pill that dissolves in ur mouth, it Didn't work then cervidil, on Wednesday night my baby's heart beat kept dropping so my doctor asked the next day if I was ok with a csection since I wasn't dialating, fluids were low, and baby's heart beat kept dropping I agreed! Turned out My baby made a knot with the umbilical cord and my cervix was too short so I was never gonna deliver vaginal,

I was induced @ 39 weeks for medical reasons. It went pretty smooth + easy. Went in at 7 am, had her at almost 9 that night. I honestly slept 70% of the time. Pushed for like 5 minutes. Hardest part for me was getting the epidural because I have minor back problems. Good luck!! Hope it goes quickly & easy for you! 😌
