Example: Start of contraction 1 is at 12:00 and ends at 12:01 the next contraction starts at 12:04 and ends at 12:05.

Your contractions are 3 minutes apart and lasting for 1minute each. That's important because many doctors will follow the 5-1-1 rule for when to come to the hospital. Having contractions 5 minutes apart, lasting for 1 minute, and has been happening for 1 hr

To track properly you need to count from start to end. Then from the end of one to the start of the next. This tells you how long your contractions are but also how far apart
