Не хочу посетителей в роддоме: устроить baby shower для родни заранее?
Opinions please ladies...I don't want visitors at the hospital, mainly family that doesn't bother with us but I know they'll be at the hospital as soon as baba is born! So was thinking on having a baby shower/afternoon tea thing so I can see everyone before baby is here! My OH doesn't think it's a good idea as he thinks it's a wee bit of a cheek to invite them to that but not wanting them at the hospital!

You need to explain to your oh that the time spent in hospital is for you to recover establish a bond with baby and establish a good feeding routine not for you and baby to be ogled and upset X my oh is very strict on no visitors until baby's a few days I'l x

I don't want anyone to see the baby until my daughter has been to see him and us first which we have both agreed on! And I've said I don't mind our parents coming in but all the other people like family that doesn't bother or friends etc is what I mean and I'm not after gifts or anything just would rather get together with everyone before so I can explain to them also about what I want x

Me & my partner only had our parents visit & everybody else understood & respected our decision. They just all took turns to come to my house after we settled X

I'm have a baby shower with friends as I don't want everyone elts there I like the idea of having that time with friends and having my partner and close family at the hospital xx

That's what I would like @charmaine_louise! My dads side of the family don't bother with me but when my daughter was born they all turned up at the hospital even though I don't get on with them and I know for a fact they'll do it again this time @tiemzini even if we say to them to wait they won't listen, so thought maybe having lunch or a baby shower involving them that way they might back off! X
