Well I watched judge Judy yesterday and she told someone that grandparents don't have rights. That's all I know!

grandparents have no rights what so ever. it's not their baby, it's yours. and if you are uncomfortable than go with gut

in the state of Arizona there is a law that permits grandparents or great grandparents to certain rights. she can take you court and make a case that she deserves visitation if it's in the best interest of the child

even if I don't feel safe for my child to be around her she's a alcoholic and is a felon?

if she were to take you to court you would have to prove how being around her is not in the best interest and can do more damage then good.

but I highly doubt she would spend the money to hire a lawyer and pay the fees it would take to even get it into court. it's not just a walk in it takes lots of money and time

Nowhere in the mom rulebook does it state that you have to let the grandparents see your child. I already told my fiance that as soon as we have a baby his mom and step dad won't be seeing it. It's not that I don't trust them but I'm not going to let my child get second hand smoke from them because they smoke both marijuana and cigarettes. If you want to see my child you have to prove your worth to me before I let you see my child. If she cares anything about her grandbaby she will do anything to get in your good graces and show you that she can be trusted again.
