@sapphirelevaou, I'm not sure where you got your information, but that hasn't been proven in any studies conclusive enough to turn the theory into a fact. I know many mamas who have smoked/ consumed marijuana their whole pregnancy and their kids are very bright, very excelled children. I work in a medical marijuana dispensary in Arizona, and we work directly with a medical director with his PHD in naturopathic medicine focusing on marijuana and even he has confirmed that there are no studies conclusive enough on pregnancy and marijuana usage to determine that it is harmful to babies. however, a lot of studies that have been started, and stopped happened because a few of the women who ingested/smoked marijuana also smoked cigarettes or drank alcohol during pregnancy so no direct adverse affects could be linked to marijuana usage. As a matter of fact, a study done on pregnant monkeys, still in it's infantry, has shown that the blood barrier of the placenta may prevent or quickly metabolize THC before it reaches the baby. @daiisydukez to answer your question, baby will be exposed to any Cannabinoids in breastmilk because there is no barrier to filter out those Cannabinoids. As to how much is put out through breastmilk, I'm not sure. Guys THC isn't harmful, nor are the other almost 100 different types of Cannabinoids. We have a natural endocannabinoid system that allows our bodies to react to different Cannabinoids, thus why science has really blown up about how beneficial marijuana can be. So quite honestly, I think that's up to each individual how they wish to use and expose their children, and not a place for others to judge unless it's their own kids. Especially when people have lied about the dangers of cannabis for many years and continue to this day, trying to base fact off of fictitious studies

i wish we could smoke freely without being put down. like shit, i smoke wax/dabs/shatter etc cuz you get no combustion from a lighter or ill take oils or edibles. to me weed isnt bad. if it was tobacco id feel differently. all these sanctimommies are trying to be mom of the year but i bet half of them have eaten shit that you aint supposed to while pregnant. i dont care if anyone gets their panties in a bunch with me, they aint takin care of my kids lol @daiisydukez

ima get total shit for this but idgaf. i smoke weed because it helps with my constant migraines and nausea. i was honest with my dr and he told me to ingest it in ways other than smoking but if i have to smoke do so in moderation because i have shown improvement in how sick i been. i used to have a mass in my brain and i was monitored alot the beginning of my pregnancy and now it has decreased in size and i am able to go on thru my day without being sick at all. your body produces cannabinoids naturally and when you breastfeed while you ingest thc it will only calm the baby enough to eat, thc and cbd pass through the milk barrier if you will just as much as tylenol or ibuprofen. it doesnt harm the child, but everyone has their own opinions on that subject. if that's what you chose to do, do you. it's like saying smoking cigarettes while bf isnt bad but unless you shower after every cigarette you are exposing your baby to 2nd hand smoke. even if you change, the smell is in your hair and your breath. do what you feel is comfortable and fuck what others gotta say.

It sucks that theres not enough research on it so that just leaves us pondering about if its ok or not. All we mostly get is opinions, and judgment from those who know nothing but "its a drug" and not facts from people who've spent their whole lifes studying marijuana and their effects on everything. I personally wouldn't do it idk it's just me and that that I use to smoke everyday before getting pregnant but I do know 1 girl who smoked all throughout her pregnancy and while breastfeeding and her baby is really smart and started walking at 9 almost 10 months old but she live in Seattle and it was Ok'd by her dr.

true it will be in your system and thus the baby will ingest it...if a person smoked it while pregnant it would affect the gene that makes and creates nerve cells and their endings thus making bad connections or hardly any connections due to no nerve endings for the cells to connect to

It passes through breastmilk like alcohol and is not recommended.
