My husband really wants us to have a date night for our Anniversary which is in 6 weeks... I have never left Cooper, not one time ever with anyone. He doesn't take a bottle, I have some emergency pumped milk. So some questions here.
How do I prepare myself to be away from him?
When should I start trying to introduce the bottle?
How did you decide on who you would leave your baby with?
Should I just say "forget it" and tell him we have to have the baby with us?... because I feel I may die of anxiety just thinking about it still.
they have a set of 2 at this store for like 7$ unopened package which is rare there. it's tempting @mrsthig
I want to try Conotomo too, but not very many places sell it & I'll have to buy them online
@jennatess, @mrsthig said the name Conotomo! Lol
we tried Tommee Tippee when he was a few weeks old and he hated it. I may do that.... I have not had my hair cut in over a year (right before I found out I was pregnant) other than with a pair of Kitchen scissors when my son was 3 weeks old and I was tired of my hair.... and I'm tired of it again lol
@milestide25, oh... hmm. I'm sure things will come together. but don't miss that date night
@allyk.xmommy, we only have one bed in our house... not even a couch or a recliner :/ we just got out first place after living with said MIL.
@jennatess, have you tried Comato (or something like that) bottles? they are scilicone and soft and feel kinda like a breast for the baby to hold. there is a consignment store here that has then fairly cheap and I though I may try them.
@allyk.xmommy, the only problem there is... the only person I trust is my MIL... she lives almost 2 hours away and in her town there aren't places to have a date... you have to drive an hour into Mississippi to go on a date... so we would be 45 miles away and our for 5 hours... ugh this is stressfull.
Go on the date! 💗. I trusted my daughter in the care of my mom, my wonderful mil, and my sister. Joovy Boob bottles are specifically made for babies who go from breast to bottle. They make them to where there's no confusion for baby. I highly recommend them. Best bottles we used for sure… And we tried at least eight or nine different brands.
you sound just like me. it took me months before letting anyone take my son. I would try starting your baby with a bottle now. once a day. and see how it goes. start pumping some more so you have extra back up. set up a dinner close to your home and pick someone you trust more than anyone. have them send pictures every 20-30minutes. and write down specific intructions. and have them spend a few hours with you the day or couple days before the date so they can see what works for your baby. that's how i survived my first few hours without my son
@milestide25, BUY THEM
