when did your babies start sleeping through the night or for long periods. my baby slept for 6 hours before she woke up and she is a little over a week. is that bad? her doctor told me she weighs just at the right amount, and that she will let me know she's hungry and don't wake her up. I feel so dumb because this is my second kid, and I should know these things but I don't. I feel bad.
@mybabyloves, my baby was also 5 lbs 1 oz at birth and now she's 2 weeks old but I still wake her up after 3-4 hrs after her feeding I feel bad if I won't wake her up uhg I feel like I'm starving her but really though newborns always sleeping and sometimes they're hard to wake up! 😕
Don't feel bad all kids are different so you could have a totally different experience with this one vs your first don't feel guilty girl but my daughter started sleeping through the night at around 3 months . Honestly I've always been told never to wake a sleeping baby, they will wake up when they're hungry I'd just watch the breathing and keep an eye on weight gain of it's not going up like it should then wake her up to feed at least once throughout the night
@killxj0y, I always check her breathing. and it's nice that's she's sleeping that long.
My daughter has slept from 11pm to 8 or 9 am since she was 3 days old. She weighed 5lbs 11oz at 5 days old, she will be 4 weeks on Tuesday and she weighed 8lbs at our WIC appointment on Friday so I never wake her up because she is gaining weight great.
@mommyandjonford, mine drinks 4 oz when I pump so at 1030 I give her 4 oz and she seems like that's enough to get her through, then I breast feed her longer when she does wake up :)
