Anyone have any recommendations for birth control? I got pregnant while on the pill so I can't risk that again and I'm not a fan of the mirena since I've heard such bad things about it 😞
@elainaelise, any IUD can cause that actually. I've heard women with Mirena say that periods were worse than when on other bc too. It really just depends on your body.
If you are not breastfeeding- I loved the Nuvaring. It's painless and you insert a new one once a month and that's it. There are always going to be good and bad stories for all forms of birth control because everyone reacts differently towards it. you might just have to try a few methods out before you find what you like best. good luck! 😊
The depo made my psycho crazy mad. Uncontrollable anger to the point of throwing things. I gained a bunch of weight on it, felt super sick, bled the whole time and ended up getting pregnant on it. My son is now 7.5 months old and I'm a single mom due to the pregnancy. If the depo is taken at long periods of time u can lose bone density making ur bones fragile so a calcium supplement a recommended. Do ur research on the depo shot before u get it. Once u get that shot, it's on ur system for 3 months then u have to deal with the negative side effects till it wears off. Good luck girl!
I didn't like depo I bled a lot on it. And my friend got pregnant on it too. I mean there's always a small chance of getting pregnant on anything. But I'm gonna go with an IUD. Skyla or Mirena. The copper one can cause stronger and longer periods
