So my husband was going to throw a baby shower but then he asked me, Would I rather a baby shower or for him to give me the money and me go baby shopping. I told him just give me the money, People will probably not get me what I need, I can just get what I need. Plus when people visit me at the hospital they'll bring a gift. What's good too, someone already asked what I need. So I rather not spent money on the baby shower all stressed and all just for others to enjoy, eat and leave and spend all that money on my baby.

I agree! Part of me wishes I did that. Also you know immediate family members will probably ask what you want anwyays! I would still make a registry so you can give it out to those who want it. :)

i totally agree of your ththe one that has to pay for your baby shower i have been blessed where my family throws the shower and i dont have to pay for anything but show up.

exactly just save your money and buy what you want and your close friends and family will buy you something anyways

that's exactly what I did. but family and friends still insisted on us making a registry and they still bought things off of it, gave cash and gift cards.

@koture427, Hopefully our families do that. It's best instead of wasting money on a party everyone ends up enjoying but you because you're worrying for everything to go smoothly
