Advice - can I change Arlos formula without getting permission from his doctor? I told her last visit I thought he had acid reflux, she said he didn't he was getting air from his bottle & to change it - we did exactly that. He's still throwing up in the back of his mouth and sometimes crying out in pain while eating, today he's super fussy even after eating and threw up while burping him, twice. I want to try out a new formula but I don't know if I need permission. Oh yeah, she said if he does, he'll grow out of it, so I guess in the mean time I'm supposed to let him suffer and be uncomfortable....Maybe I should change doctors.

Also, keep him upright for 45 mins to an hour after each freeing to help.
my baby was dx with reflux at a month old and was on Zantac till 6 months. Babies grow out of it. but not till 6 months or so. If she doesn't want to prescribe him meds, switch doctors! And you do whatever you want in terms of his formula - that's your baby.
My son had reflux and I'd notice him "chewing". He'd arch his back. Scream. Throw up his breast milk, he got meds but out grew it by 5 months. Did the doctor say you have to feed him the current formula? You're the parent. You can change the formula. But check how you're feeding LO as well. Frequent burping. Not too much at once.
you can do what ever u want. I just suggest switching it slowly and giving it time.

How do I get my son more interested in a sippy cup or any cup in general while he's eating? His doctor told me today he should start being weened from his bottle but he won't take any sippy cups. I have bought several different kinds and myself and my mom and dad encourage it while eating and he refuses. So I give him a small bottle of juice after he eaTs.
So I went to the doctors for my baby today nd they are telling me he's too big!!! He will be 3 months old on the 10th!! He is 14 Lbs 12 oz he was born 7Lbs 10 oz. It wasn't his normal doctor tho...his usual doctor knows that he eats 5-6 oz nd said it was fine but now they are telling me to take him down to 3oz!!!! Idk what to do he freaks out when I stop feeding him at 3....I feel sooooo bad!!!!!
My son just turned 4 months and he eats a lot like 5 ounces every 2 - 3 hours is that bad ? Should I start introducing him to cereal ? He's on enfamil formula maybe mixing cereal in his milk will keep his tummy full for a longer time ? ***NEED FORMULA ADVICE*** I brought Waylon to the doctors. He has been spitting up a lot. Because of this, he is loosing weight. His doctor suggest I try a formula mixed with breastmilk. Something specifically made for spiting up. And he said maybe something with rice or cereal in it. I need advice. What brands did you use. What worked best. @bonniesue, my son was doing the exact same thing as her baby. But my son also has a lactose intolerance and needed soy formula. I did what I felt was best. My pedi isn't home with him to see who he acts, I took it upon myself and he's been the happiest baby since switching. World of difference.
