Yes it'll bleed after too just keep cleaning it. The more you dry it out the faster it'll fall off and clean it after too because it's still going to be an open wound until his belly button completely heals
Some say do and some say don't so it's up to you. Mine told me to keep mine clean because it can get infected but if you clean it too much it can also get irritated from that. I just did a lil alcohol on a qtip once a night and it fell off at like 6 days old
When I took my son into the er for his bleeding they told me to clean it with alcohol to dry it out so it doesn't get infected. maybe they meant when you bath him..
