Lol my SO said watch out she might eat the hamster. 😂 I would just tell her don't touch stuff that doesn't belong to her and to ask before eating anything. If her mother gets mad about that she's a bit strange and should teach her daughter to be more polite. That really is rude, lol. I wish my daughter would. She would get the business grabbing people's food without asking. 🙅🏽🙅🏽I also know how it is to be in someone else's home but rude is rude.

@elizabethslewy, it's not my home though we just rent a room and pay for WiFi like if it were my home I would most definitely say something but it's not so I tough it out I do always tell my husband and he is much more vocal I just wanted to know that I wasn't over reacting before I told him

Then I would bring it up to the adults who care for her like your mil abs bring it up to your husband and ask what you can do. even if it's not your place to be her parent it is your home to be treated as such.

@elizabethslewy, I just feel it's not my place ya know? she gets babied and I don't want to start any drama with my mother in law nor be looked at as the evil sister in law over it

I would have yelled at her instead of letting her just go ahead. leniency is not the way to handle things in a situation like this.
