I know every baby is different and so is every mama carrying the baby. My baby is now 4.4 lbs at 32 weeks I was told I'd have around a 8 lb baby if I go full term. Now how many of you ladies remember your babies weight at 32 weeks and their birth weight ?
I would buy a little in newborn and a little in 0-3, then buy more when you know for sure. One month seems like a short period of time but she was going through onesies and sleepers like crazy with spit up and "explosions" lol so we needed to buy a lot of stuff. We had a ton of 0-3 and it drove me crazy that it was just sitting in the closet and I couldn't put her on it!
@gina22082, okay thank you :) I had a preemie before so she was in new born for months. So wanted to be prepared on what size to get her.
I was just scanning the comments and noticed your last question... My baby was estimated to be 8lbs at birth so everyone bought her 0-3 and we had very little newborn stuff. Well she was 7lbs 15oz at birth and was SWIMMING in the 0-3 clothes. We had to go out and buy so much newborn stuff and she didn't outgrow it for a month! So it really depends on the baby. Two 8lb babies can be completely different shape-wise. I would buy some newborn stuff if I were you.
@jasmommy, your baby fits into newborn or do you have him in 0-3 months. I wanna know if I should even buy new born or just get 0-3
u will b fine. u want a healthy bby more than anything. @amaperalta03
@jasmommy, that's the estimate my doc gave me. I'm just nerves after having a preemie to have a big baby and I'm tiny. Regardless I'll be happy with what ever God sends my way as long as my baby is heathy
@ceeasquared r babies was in the same weight class. betta to have a healthy not big bby then a preemie. its nothing wrong with a 8lb bby im tired of ppl saying it like its not normal
mine was 8lb cause he was 4 pounds at 32 weeks. @amaperalta03
mine is 2.9 and I'm at 28 weeks but he's only in the 47th percentile. I thought he was big for this much more to go. My oldest was 7 lbs when I was 8 months pregnant and came out 8.2. I'm hoping this one isn't much heavier lol
I'm interested in knowing the same thing. My fiancé was exactly 9lbs when he was born. I was 6lbs 13oz and a week over due. Doctor told me at my 32week ultrasound baby was 3lb 14oz. They also said she shouldn't be much more than 7lbs at birth I was also nervous about having a big baby. I was so happy to hear that news. I just really hope they are right😌 and good luck to you too👌🏾
P.s Dr also said babies weight usually takes after moms birth weight not dads!
My baby is 4.11 now & they said by my due date she should be 7.12
I never got my baby's weight. but my friend she said 4 lbs at around 32 weeks. They told her she's probably not gonna make it til her due date since baby was big already but she ended up 2 whole weeks late and baby was only 7lbs 4oz.
@ceeasquared, God bless you and your vag lol your one strong mama
@amaperalta03, Yea because I figured I already had my son who was 8lbs 12oz with no meds, so she was going to be so little...no big deal. 😑
@ceeasquared, jezz she was so big !!! And you had her with out any meds right ?
Yeah, he would have been huge, he definitely wasn't ready to come though. We spent a week in the nicu and he's almost a month old and just now weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces..
@tlw1596, looks like your baby gained around a half lb every week. Which I was told that's what how most babies grow. If you would've had him full term he definitely would've been a big baby
They told me my whole pregnancy that Ava wasn't gaining weight properly. I was 3 weeks post term and they told me up until she was born that I would be lucky if I delivered a baby that was 5lbs. She was 8lbs 10oz.
My son weighed 4.5 pounds at 32 weeks and when I delivered at 36 weeks he was 6 pounds 8 ounces
@babyelkins2016, thank you :) that's very soon
@keniamarjorie, me too !!! I don't want to sound selfish but I want a small baby. I'm 4'10 I don't want to push out no 8lb or more baby
@babyelkins2016, well your due soon so if you don't mind can you keep me updated on babies birth weight.
My son was born at 36 weeks and he was exactly 6 lbs. I would much rather her be between 6-7 lbs. I'm too small lol
At 34 weeks my baby weighed 4lbs 13oz and my high risk doctor and obgyn both said she would be around 6.5-7lbs
@phinnybinz, thats great I want a 7 pounder too
4lbs 6oz for mine, I deliver on Friday. But this was the exact same for my other two and they were 7lbs6 oz and 7lbs 3 oz.
@babyluca, he was a big boy. All the babies in my boyfriends family including him were all 8 lbs or more
Mine weighed in at 5.2lbs and they told be between 9-10 lbs at birth
@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, I honestly don't remember. And thank you these progesterone shots are getting the job done on keeping this baby in. Making it this far is such a huge mile stone and I hope to make it to 40 weeks or longer
How much did your 29 weeker weigh at 32 weeks gestational? My son was a pound bigger than what the ultrasound predicted, but he was (obviously) still small. Congrats on making it further along this time around!
same at 32 weeks but when i had him at 41 weeks he was only 8lbs 9ozs
@mommypanda, I want a tiny baby 😩 but I'd love my baby regardless big or small. I'm just nervous of a big baby cause I'm so small
@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, I know ultrasounds are just guesses I just wanted to compare. I had my daughter at 29 weeks also.
My son was born at 29 weeks, but when he was 32 weeks gestational he weighed 2lbs 12 oz. ultrasound weights are just guesses.
@mommypanda, did they give you a estimated of how much your baby would be at 40 weeks ?
mine didnt show her weight and I didn't have an ultrasound after 21 weeks
@zachsbabygurl, if you have ultrasound pictures I thin they should have her weight on there
I hear an 8 pound 3 oz baby when I delivered and was never told her weight during any or my check ups
Has anyone had a low birth weight baby and then went on to have a "normal sized" baby after?
Like for instance... A 4 lb baby then a 8 lb baby.
🤔 I have questions lol
So I have question I'm 23 weeks and I thought a 9 lbs weight gain was good but now I'm re thinking it what is normal at this stage is it to much I'm stressing out I am really watching what I eat and I really don't over eat sad mommy here 😔
just thinking about weight loss. once I have my baby I would like to lose 100 lbs. I was already over weight before I got pregnant so I'm not blaming it on my baby. pre pregnancy i was 235lbs and my height is 5'4...now at 35 weeks pregnant I'm 243lbs...my goal weight is between 130 and 150 😮😮
I just got home from my doctors appointment , blood pressure : good , weight : 142 lbs , i gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks which is great , baby's heart rate : fantastic , baby's size : approximately 18.2 inches ( 46.2 cm long ) weighs about 5.5 pounds . I had my last cervical check up today , I get the results next week , OBGYN appointments will now be Every WEEK until the END Of my Pregnancy 😉😋😘😄
My pre pregnancy weight was 94 lbs. the most I ever weighted was 105 . I am now 137.8 lbs & literally don't know what to do with all this ass & thighs 😂😂😂😂😂
he actually can wear both depending on the brand and the fit so i would play around and get both. @amaperalta03
