My 6 year old was always good in school pre-k and kinder now I don't know what happen he is now in 1st grade only been in school for 12 days got 3 warnings at 1 call home already I'm so upset I don't know what to do me and his dad discipline him we take his things away and still he continues .. what should I do? do you think it has anything to do with the new baby?

I'm a 1st grade teacher. It very well could have to do with the baby. I would try creating a positive reward system. For example 3 perfect days at school for a reward (maybe 1-1 time, small prize, screen time, anything). Make the goal small at first then gradually make it harder. The most important thing is that it's based on positives not negatives. Just my two cents. I love my job so I like to share.

I agree with @bperrier I am also a teacher, Kindergarten. It sounds like he is fighting for attention because of the new baby at home. The small rewards at first are great. Give him that reassurance and have him help with the new baby, feedings or small things so he still feels apart of things. Try to stay away from material things, make it activities. Make cookies together, go to the park..ect. That way it can't turn into knowing he gets something everytime he is good.
