So damn irritated. My bf and I need or own place asap. Tired of his mom yelling at us for everything we do. First we make food and she yells about cleaning it up ( when we always do) then if we go out to eat we get yelled at for spending OUR money on food. And can't take it down to our room. Even tho we both pay rent here. So damn irritating. Then has the nerve to tell me "ever since you started paying rent you haven't been doing anything" yes that's correct because I'm not paying rent and STILL cleaning up after everyone in the house. I'll clean up after my boyfriend and I of course. But 5 other ppl? Yeah right. And we're the only ones who ever do anything in the house anyway. And everytime they need something they ask us first because they know we will always help when we can. Feel like they're trying to control us and I absolutely hate it. If I wasn't taking 6 weeks off we'd have our own place already.

Sorry to hear what you are going through😮, had the same issue with my mom when me and hubby moved in her house and paying rent. What helped me was have a sit down talk with my mom and both of us discussed expectations and boundaries clearly so there's no assumptions and misunderstandings so we can peacefully coexist as much as possible.
