Risk of bigger baby, c-section and diabetes after pregnancy plus you will have to do insulin debating how high your sugars are. Trust me girl it's NOT the business! I had it with my kids and now while pregnant, but I have type 2 diabetes because my stupid doctor never ordered test to see if it was only for my pregnancies. @teenmommy53124
I'm going to tell you what my new doctor told me, do it for your baby. I hate needles too sweetie but I have to shoot myself 3x a day and check my sugars 6x I don't like it but my son/daughter's health is in jeopardy so I'm doing it for him/her. Trust me it will be worth it
I have GD and my baby is perfectly fine. I'm diet controlled and my sugars have been perfect. My baby is measuring perfectly on time and her weight is normal. I was told I can go down to checking my sugars twice a day instead of 4 because of how well my levels are. I'm getting induced at 39 weeks because of it and they don't want to risk her getting big. Also with GD, they will induce because the further along you go the placenta will start to deteriorate according to my high risk doctor. It is possible to get type 2 diabetes when you're older, but that's only if you don't take care of yourself and watch what you eat.

What @babizehm16 said. And from my understanding, you'll have to monitor blood pressure, and watch your diet.

and I did all that. I also was more at risk for preterm labor and getting preclampsia.
