I don't think letting someone who is under 18 watch your children is a good idea, but it's up to you. I've been a nanny for a few years and have a lot of experience with care.com and her mentioning to you that she needs money to get out of foster care is not only overstepping a boundary but it's unprofessional as well. If you decide to meet with her, ask a bunch of questions about her background.

i babysat tons of children & I'm still in my teens. i love doing it and it's a great experience for when i finally have my son. i can see where some are not so fond of the idea though. you're welcome regardless. hope you find a good babysitter

I think if it's for a few hours and the baby is older not a newborn then yes

it was just for when we have to run errands once in a while. this Friday my husband wants to go with me to the gender ultrasound and we don't want to bring both our toddlers with us. they are 20 months and 3 year old and specially the young one one stay quiet. I know teenagers csn be good babysitters but this girls sounds kinda fishy to me. @shellbell0391

She's probably just trying to make herself sound good. But definitely if you have a weird feeling don't do it!
