Ok when does the boobs decide to blow up and start making milk. I'm about to be 32 weeks tomorrow. I wanna breastfeed and I wanna try to get a pump so I can get the sleep. Im determined

No. I nurse her on demand . She sleeps 5 or 6 hours at night , maybe wakes up once or twice . I pull her into bed with my hubby and I, nurse her for a couple minutes and put her back to bed . Pumping is much harder . To keep up your supply you have to pump every 2-3 hours , wash the parts every time , wash the bottles , ect . It's awful. But if you can nurse your baby, there's no pump parts to wash at 3 am , no bottles to wash. Just boobies ☺️

From experience, I get more sleep exclusively breast feeding . I pumped and gave her my milk with a bottle for the first 3 weeks . Washing bottles and pump parts made me miserable and I had to wake up every 2-3 hours to pump . Just nursing her is so much easier ! (:
No you only have colostrum until after the baby is here.... Pumping it isn't going to do anything for baby now. Baby will get all they need of that while they're nursing. Their belly is only the size of a marble after birth. Just wait it out.

@dani4269, milk takes a couple days to come in. and trust me, when it does, good lord you wished it hadnt. sleep will be little to none for awhile, but just stay determined! And when to start pumping, ask your doctor. mine said two weeks to start pumping just to ensure the latch & the baby getting hind milk. I started leaking at 24-26 weeks, can't remember. and I produce like a cow now. but leaking doesn't correlate with milk production! good luck momma
my boobs are leaking but it's colostrum, it's not even milk until after the baby is born
Everyone is different but usually your milk comes in 2-3 days after baby is here.
My boobs started leaking at 21 weeks everyone is different
Milk doesn't come in till baby is here and even then you're supposed to wait 6 weeks so your milk can be established
