I haven't shared my birth story yet...
August 10th I had my appointment I was 39w1d. I had gained 4lbs in less than a week. I had been having contractions for a month. My midwife checked me and I was at 4cm she cleared the rest of my membrane and I instantly started having more contractions and really bad cramping. She told me she wouldn't be surprised if I went in that night. Well I got home and cleaned EVERYTHING! Made dinner, are and then bathed my girls, then cleaned up from dinner. I walked up and down the stairs to my room then down to the basement to do laundry. Well the contractions got pretty strong but I had a weird feeling something wasn't right. We took the girls to my brother-in-law and picked up my sister and headed to the hospital. I was still having contractions and a horrible cramping that just wouldn't stop. They checked me I was still 4cm. They hooked me to the monitor and every time I'd have a contraction his heart rate would drop. I was thinking that I'd be having an emergency csection and I was terrified. Well they admitted me at that point. I got to walk the hall in the on department and then sit in the tub. They brought in the birthing ball and I bounced on it all night. My water never broke on it's own. my midwife came in checked me I was 7.5 cm and she broke my water. I stood up after a few minutes and the amniotic fluid was crazy. there was a puddle under me as I swayed through contractions. Well at 9am I felt the need to push but couldn't bring myself to do it. I kept begging my midwife and the nurse to rub my back as counter pressure. I started pushing at 9:10am. My son was born at 9:13am on August 11th weighing 8lbs2.1oz and 20.5inches long. As soon as they laid him on my belly he speed right down my mom's leg. We're blessed to have such a gorgeous little man.
