So I've had a growth scan today, baby is measuring 2.8lbs😳 (1300g) I'm 28weeks&2days;. I'm wondering what everyone…

I had a growth scan at 28weeks&2days; and my little girl was approximately 1412g (3lb11) and I thought the same.. she sounded huge! but like people have said to me just remember they are only estimates and a lot of the time when the baby is born they aren't what they were estimated to weigh xx

@clairey, did her growth slow down ? Have you had her yet? Xx

mine was 2lb8 at exactly 28 weeks too and i had a scan at 34 weeks hes measurin 5lb 6 xxx

Well I had another growth scan at 32weeks&2days; and she was approximately 4lb8 and another at 37weeks&2days; and see approximately 7lb13.. her weight didn't seem to bring up a concern for the midwives or anyone they just said that bigger babies can be harder to deliver but they said that to just cover it and what isn't taken into consideration is that I'm 5ft11 and my partner is 6ft so the weight can come from that not just width wise xx @emmaelaine

I had a scan at 31+5 and baby was 5lb 6oz!! Xxx

My girl was 2.8lb last week at 28 plus 1. Puts her on my personalised growth chart at just slightly above the 10th centile. She will be my second smallest yet. So I have to keep being checked as I'm known to have previous iugr. The size places her around the 50th centile compared to the general population. But not for my usual size babies. So she's classed as small for me

and no I haven't had her yet I'm 6days past my due date 😒 lol xx

scan last week at 36 plus 6 days - 6.4lb

@tg123456789, have you had a previous growth scan? @Lou 6888 was that your first growth scan too? Is that normal for 31+5?

@suzie80, are you and your partner quite tall if you don't mind me asking? How big were your other babies? I'm quite small 5'2" and petite framed, but my OH Is 6'2 x

Im 5'9 and the babies dad is 6'4. My other babies were 8.9lb with hellp so she stopped growing at 39 weeks was when I delivered. My second was 7.4lb at 40 weeks my third was 9.7lb at 38 weeks and my last one was 7.4lb at 37 weeks. I was induced with no1&4 so they may have got larger. My fourth was estimated to be over 8.9lb if I made it to term but I didn't. This one I'm smaller than I normally am but I'm not carrying As much water as I normally do. I'm being induced before term again and if babies growth drops down then before

29 weeks my wee girl was estimated 3lb4 and expected to b a big baby! She was only 7lb5 xx
