I did both but couldn't anymore with breastfeeding, they weren't too happy because they are pro breastfeeding. you won't get a ton of cans like you would if you weren't breastfeeding. here they asked how many cans I might need and they based it off of that.
you don't have to tell them your breast feeding. if you do they will give you less formula. I'd just breastfeed as much as you Wang and supplement with formula.
Yeah WIC is all about breastfeeding. When my son was 3 weeks I stopped because he stopped latching on right and WIC kept telling me to keep breastfeeding. everytime i went back i told them its not working and they kept suggesting to keep trying. I started bleeding from cracked nipples and went off on them and told them to give me formula NOW. They will keep telling you breastfeed breastfeed breastfeed but you gotta put your foot down if you want formula. some of the workers can be bitches
