Yes because implantation happens 6 to 12 days after ovulation :)

is it OK for the slight drop earlier on this cycle I hade spotting that day which I'm thinking might of been implantation spotting wasn't bad at all.

Yes! Temp should stay high if you've conceived. Usually it drops before period shows
