Has anybody else gotten the terbutaline shot more than once to stop contractions? I was given it at…

I have had them 4 times(twice both times I went into labor at 36 weeks and 37 weeks) and I asked my nurse this same question because those shots made me feel like shit. I'd be all shaky and nauseous and tired. When I asked her she laughed at me and made me feel like an idiot and a bad mom. She said I didn't want the shot because I wanted to have a preterm baby and blah blah blah. But she basically said that it wouldn't harm the baby because they are basically already developed. I wouldn't worry Hun, as moms we always worry about this kind of thing but try to remember that your doctor isn't going to purposefully hurt your baby 😊 but your worry is totally understandable ! 💕

@katietay34, I'm sorry girl, try not to worry. Your doctor is the one who gives the orders on stuff like that not the nurse. But mine was too she made me cry. After I asked her if it would affect my baby negatively at all she was like "oh no we are L&D all we do is babies. I think you're asking because you're tired of being pregnant and just want the baby out. Well if I was you I'd stand on my head in the corner of it meant keeping my baby in til 40 weeks because I had a preterm baby 25 years ago and I couldn't hold him for months. And why would you want your babies lungs not be developed do you want to hear her gasping for air? ..." She literally was such a bitch.

I know it isn't full term, but I live in Arizona too and my dr told me if I go in to labor at 36 weeks they wouldn't try to stop it now.

@madibrice, because I wasn't dilated at all so I wasn't in active labor. I'm still having contractions again today. But worse. I'm just gonna chill at home unless my water breaks.
