When do they start sitting up on their own? and is it possible u can train iy like tummy time or something?

I've heard seats such as the bumbo are supposed to help them learn to sit up on their own. my son starting sitting up by himself at 5 months. he did not care for tummy time, and still doesn't!

My daughter hates Tummy time too.
