I just had my C section a week and a half ago, they have me stool softeners 2x's a day while I was in the hospital, I was gassy in the hospital, and didn't end up going until three days after leaving the hospital. I was scared also, but push! You won't hurt anything.. Your incision just hurts .. Well because you were cut lol.
