This has nothing to do with pregnancy, but I am trying to better myself my child. I fell in love and ran off with the baby daddy instead of going to college. I had received FAFSA and TOPS. I know I have passed the deadline to use either one. How do I even begin looking at getting into another college? Do I look for the scholarships/grants first then apply to a college? or vice-versa? Please, anything will help me! I'm at a loss of what to do and I'm so anxious to get started on this journey.

Ooohhhh ok. Yes, you have to apply every year. So by applying for 16-17, your saying your applying for FAFSA for that year of college & next year you'll do 17-18 & so on. It's not in reference as to when you graduated but in regards to what school year is coming.

thank you. ill apply for FAFSA. I apply for 16-17 even though I graduated May 2015? TOPS is another financial aid program. it's available in louisiana. I'm not sure about other states. @mrsschmalz @dang_dridri

I graduated May 2015. I thought it expired a year after I graduated? @mrsschmalz @dang_dridri

You can still file your FAFSA 16-17) for Spring semester & return in January. Look at the colleges due dates & deadlines for Spring. And then you can Summer classes as well (that'll be your 2 semesters for 16-17) & in January do your FAFSA for 17-18. I hope that made sense. Lol
