update/mild ranting:
I got woke up at 3:15 this morning by the nurses to be told that my daughter has jaundice, and she will need to be under the light for probably a day or so. they said there is nothing else wrong with her though, she just won't be able to leave today like we thought.
of course, she's my daughter, I'm going to be a little worried. but it's jaundice. it's pretty common in newborns. I am aware of that, even though I am a first time mom. so I'm not as worried as if they had said it was something else wrong with her.
because she is sick though, I told everyone we don't really want any visitors besides my mom, my husband's mom, and his sister because we are both close to her, and they all know not to stay for a long time. my mom, however, is about to get kicked off this short list of visitors because she is trying to tell me what to do and who can come to the hospital and who can't.
first of all, I already took care of that. I told everyone I don't want any visitors.
Second of all, this is my child, I will handle this however I see fit.
@jessicarose0602, they are taking care of her, they brought her to me once for me to feed her, but other than that she should be under it since they took her this morning. They said it was pretty mild though, she should be going home with us tomorrow.
my son went home with a billy belt because of jaundice I needed to be under that belt almost all day and night
jaundice can get pretty serious if doctors don't do anything about it though. my daughter had it soooo bad a couple days after birth and they wouldn't even put her under the light.. so she literally looked orange. went to her pediatrician and he was upset that the hospital never contacted me with her results to have me bring her back to the hospital. glad the doctors you have seem to be better than mine.
Thank you @megbaby07. I know she is doing it because she is worried, but she has been trying to tell me who can or can't come up and what time they can come ever since the c-section was done Wednesday night
I'm so sorry too hear that. She has to respect your wants for your child. I would be the same way. You're in my thoughts ❤️
Okay so I kinda just got a little weirded out by a little girl who lives in the mobile home park we live in. She kept asking if she could come into my house and I told her no because I didn't feel comfortable but I told her it was because I was cleaning. She came back and said her mom wanted to know my name and what house number we were which I told her. I told her I would gladly meet her mom tomorrow. I feel like she shouldn't try to be going into random peoples houses and I'm gonna call our la...
Idk how to even feel about this. My step daughter lives with us because her mom abused her. Told us the other day she wants to go back to her moms. Annie is the one who came to us with these problems with her mom and we been in and out of court for a year. Her dad paid so much on a lawyer which I told him not too. Attended the parenting class they had her mom go to, we got her tutoring, made sure she stayed in school, make sure she never runs out of her meds, we make sure we are doing everythin...
Is orajel the only thing you mommas use for teething? Lol cause my mom told me when she didn't have any, that she would rub a lil tequila in my gums. Lol I told her now I know who to blame for loving liquor lol
Okay guys I need some advise on how to handle this situation....my MIL came to my house today and told me she is going to be in the room when this baby is born...I told her once before she wasn’t...and she’s now mad at me because she has seen all her grandkids births besides my son and will be this one too...she blew up on me because she knew my mom will be in the room and my husband slipped that my mom also will be cutting the cord...I’m the one that asked...my mom missed meeting my first son a...
