I have always been told that they don't over feed and to feed on demand. I do not agree with your doctor but do what you feel you are comfortable with.

My son fed until he was done and they sometimes just use you for comfort. Breasts are more than just food. They are building your supply as well. Doctors aren't lactation consultants.

the hospital told me the same but when i went to wic she told me to let him tell me when he was done. then he started gaining weight
