My daughters pediatrician said to add rice cereal to my newborns formula for her reflux issue. Has anyone else done this? Did it work? She said I could also use a rice starch formula like similac for spit up. Which do my mommy friends on here use?
My doctor said I can give baby rice cereal yay !!!! He said good head control !!!!
***NEED FORMULA ADVICE*** I brought Waylon to the doctors. He has been spitting up a lot. Because of this, he is loosing weight. His doctor suggest I try a formula mixed with breastmilk. Something specifically made for spiting up. And he said maybe something with rice or cereal in it. I need advice. What brands did you use. What worked best. Last time I used formula, it was for my now 5 year old. I just used enfamil. Nothing special bc he didn't spit up or have allergies or anything. I exclusively breastfed Liam.

Okay! We did a fifth formula switch and switched from rice to oatmeal (we got flavored for a treat, they said we could lol) this formula is a special kind completely hypoallergenic and it had probiotics special for babies with digestive problems.. bottle number we have already noticed a difference!!
Okay ladys!! I need some serious help!! Social services called me today and said that there going to take us to court because of what happened with my daughters dad and my husband!! Does ANYONE know of legal help that we can afford!? Im so scared because they said that it can end in getting my kids taken away from us because they dont think that they are in a safe house! Which they are btw!! Please... anyone?

My daughter had severe reflux and I added rice cereal and it helped. My son doesn't have it bad but the rice starch formula works wonder!

I used roads one tablespoon to my sons bottles. He had reflux so bad he was throwing up 50% of his bottle

you can also get enfamil AR. i wasnt comfortable adding the rice cereal. and if you have wic it covered.

I didn't want to add rice cereal to my daughters. She had really bad acid reflux so her pedi just switched her formula to the light green similac can for spit up. it's thicker than regular formula and that one is made with a little extra rice starch.

@guaderrama_babies2, @haydensmommy5 @jeniel @josmedellin, yeah I bought the similac for spit up. I hope she does well with it! I started with the rice cereal but I didn't feel comfortable. I read where young babies can choke on it and it can cause unnecessary weight gain.
