I keep reading about taking in a night gown (or nightie as I call it) in your hospital bag for after…

I took baggy bottoms and a t-shirt to sleep in after I had the baby. wasn't a problem apart from getting my trousers on and off was difficult and painful and I had a catheter in too but it just depends on your circumstance. I would take both and see how you feel once you've had baby xxx

just bear in mind you'll get bleeding lots and will need to keep changing your pad so quickly nightie may be easier..... but I know what you mean, I hate nighties too! lol xxx

It's completely up to you what you want to wear!! I was in shorts and tshirt xxx

I've got a nightie packed for during labour and after the birth but packed a pair of pj's for once it's all over and I can relax a bit more. Also for if I'm in long enough to have visitors then I can wear them with out the fear I'm flashing something at them.ha.x

@stephyb95, I packed loads! I packed a nighty and baby pj bottoms & top! In the end I was bleeding so much & was so uncomfortable I ended up just wearing a hospital gown as it was easy to take on and off, didn't get in the way of changing the pads and didn't matter if I stained it!xx

I packed a baggy shirt and pj shorts for labour (ended up just in the tshirt as my waters broke in my shorts haha) but when I could get dressed I put leggings on haha, I had a pretty straight forward delivery and got to leave the same day, I had pj bottoms packed just in case though. My midwife have me a tip to pack black/dark bottoms, then if you do end up leaking on them it's not so bad :) x

I only packed PJs I hate nighties... there isn't a wrong or right when it comes to PJs or nighties it's whatever your most comfortable with xx

After I gave birth and showered I just wore leggings and one of my partners t-shirts x

I didn't get a chance to put nighty on I ended up in a gown during labour , after I had a shower I put big knickers on with pad and pjs x
