Went to the dr for the gbs test today, was prepared to head to work immediately after. They took me out of work due to risk of preterm labor. What todo with myself now???? Also how long does it take to get results back?

Thank you @ginnalynn  and @haleymclain1121 she said she was gonna check me while she was doing the swab but I honestly don't know if she did, she didn't tell me if I was or not. She's mainly concerned because of how big I've been measuring this whole time, as well as how much I have to lift at work (usually 80+ lbs) and some pain I get when I lift and some bleeding I've been having.

I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks and they did gbs test and got results in like 20 min

Are you dilated at all? I'm 35+4 weeks and was checked for dilation 2 days ago and I'm 2cm dilated and my doctor didn't seem concerned. He told me to call him if anything changes between now and my next appointment. Meaning if my water breaks or whatever. He didn't put me on bed rest or anything.

it'll take at least 24 hours because you have to let the plate have time to grow out any possible bacteria. I'm a lab tech 😊
