I was terrified when my Dr told me I had to go in for an emergency c-section. Last surgery I had before that was on my wrist and when they went to cut I wasn't numb. But the c-section actually wasn't that bad. I was numb from my chest down and if you keep up on the pain meds the recovery was painful but a lot worse if I didn't take my meds obviously but I didn't take my meds after I got out of the hospital 2 days after because I have had a history of prescription pain meds addiction so I steer clear of them now.

It's perfectly normal to be scared. I never wanted a c-section and when I needed to have an emergency one with my son, to save his life, I cried! It went fast and my son is here because of it. Recovery sucked (to put it bluntly). Now, I'm scheduled for another one in 8 days. I'll be nervous but I'm more excited knowing that my daughter needs her mum to be strong and get her into the world safely. ☺️

☺️Thank you, we are all strong mothers! Definitely talk to your doctor about a natural birth plan if that's what you're wanting. Make sure to write it down and take it with you when you're in labour. You've got this and no matter what happens it will all be washed away when you hold that beautiful baby for the first time!
