It didn't soften my cervix I was in early labour for 2 1/2 weeks and was only 2cm no help to the tablets lol X

Primrose is supposed to help strengthen ur uterus so that when ur in the stage ready to push ur able to use ur contractions more effectively. Who knows if it works but I was in active labour for 3/4 hours and I pushed 3 times and she came out X

@suzie80, that's what I'm thinking now, after reading about it there is probably no point in me even trying haha, & @canteloupe24 my midwife has actually mentioned it to me saying that it can help, but I just don't think I could physically do it 😂😂 xx

I was wondering the same thing, I'm sort of on the fence with evening primrose oil. I'd like to try it just to see if it works for me but I don't think I could insert anything up there 😂 so I might just try taking the tablets orally. I've read about a load of people using it and it worked apparently but I'd say wait until you've got the all clear from a doctor or midwife first. xx

If your cervix is soft I wouldn't bother. The theory is a bit hit and miss and they say it helps ripen the cervix

@peachesx, thank you!! Might just give it a miss as I don't want to shove anything inside myself. 😂😂 & @tg123456789 I'm not desperate to get her out... I was just asking about it because I have seen a lot of people comment about it. I've had many complications already during this pregnancy & my baby girl is also healthy and weighing a lovely weight. I'm having a sweep at 39 weeks anyway as my cervix is extremely soft so who knows, I might not even go that far x

ur still only 35 weeks why r u so desperate for her this early when still over month to go. ur risking her health. will soon be over without trying everything and ull be able to test assured shes healthy and born when shes completely done growing x

i wouldnt even bother trying to induce baby yourself girl, i tried everything and i mean everything and nothing worked, even at 5 days over due, baby will come when he or shes ready x

@suzie80, seems strange shoving something like that up me when I have no idea what I'm doing & I know, just wanted to know what to do with it when the time is right x

Not sure how safe it is but I believe u use them as a pessary up high near the cervix
