My hospital automatically tests for syphilis I guess. They told me last week, because there's a rise in syphilis in recent years.

I just got tested for gonarhea and some other std plus the Group b strep. My midwife says they do this too all their patients around this time.. idk if other doctors do it though.

Just ask your doctor about it... I'm sure they will tell you what it was for and the results or you could call if you can't wait until your next appointment

I got blood work done for HIV and Syphilis when I was like 28 weeks

they tested me at my last appointment, I was 36 wks

I thought they tested everyone at their first ob appointments

I got tested at my first appointment and then recently at my 6 week check up. I'm sure you can request it early though
