I have a question. Recently my friend said I wasn't really a single mom because I have a significant other. My BF is not my child's father, we don't live together, and taking care of Jude is solely my responsibility. Am I wrong for feeling a little butt hurt that she said that? It felt like she was taking credit away from me, if that makes sense.

Nope you have every right to feel as such . A single mother is someone who is providing for they're child or children alone . If he isn't buying things and helping finically with your child on a regular basis then you are a single mommy and your deserve your credit where it's due
