Any mommy's on here using or have used depo or nexplanon? How they affect you? I just got my depo shot today and might be getting nexplanon after this shot runs out
Well they went ahead and gave me depo until time for the next shot so that I can decide if i want nexplanon
im allergic to the nexplanon. dont believe them when they say you cant be allergic to it. lol
I don't have any experience with the depo. I recently had the Skyla IUD put in. Before I got pregnant I was using the nuvaring (I actually had the implanon and the nuvaring together for almost half a year to regulate my periods. So far I prefer the nuvaring, but we will see how the Skyla works out since I can't use the nuvaring while breastfeeding.
I got pregnant with twins on the depo.. Never tried that again lol i was getting my shots on time & everything
I have not. After the nexplanon I decided not to do anymore birth controls because of how my body reacted.
I would say go ahead and try to nexplanon, give it a try because if you don't like it you could always get it taken out. so far I like it, I'm keeping an eye out to see if it makes me gain weight tho.
I had read about the last part. I didn't know it could cause infertility. Tbh I want Emma to be an only child but my husband wants another one. @thatmomlyfe16
I've heard that the depo can make it where you aren't able to have any babies after you stop it and also tgat it takes forever to get pregnant once you stop getting it
Any of you have experience with depo? @nichole_lynn @showersoverflowers @thatmomlyfe16 @mzbritt89 @marzuniversal
I had the first generation implanon. My first cycle with that was normal, but I bled every day for the next three years after that. It was really light spotting unless I was on my period, which started out light but then ended up getting heavy again as time went on.
I hated the nexplanon.. I bled 21 days out the month with that thing.. Caused me all sorts of problems.. Would not suggest getting it
I have the nexplanon and the only thing so far I didn't like was my first period with it and that it lasted a month. so far no other complaints. I would suggest it..
nexplanon made me pyscho. Holy moly side effects. I was emotional, throwing up randomly as if I had morning sickness, bleeding for months on end then no period for months on end, cramping constantly, headaches, and hair loss galore. I do not recommend it at all
loved the depo shot. didn't have any side effects and didn't have to deal with getting my period. I took it for two years until decided we wanted to have a baby, got pregnant within 3 months! will be going back on it when I go back for my 6 week check up
