Random rant not directed to anyone on here: I can't stand when people try to say that having a c section is easy and doesn't make you a mom. Um excuse you? I carried life inside me for 9 months and brought said life in to this world SAFELY. Isn't that what being a mom means? Caring for the safety of your children? And there is NOTHING easy about being cut open almost in half to bring life in to this world!!! When I compare the recovery of my first c section to the recovery of my sister's vaginal births, my sister had it easier imho. She didn't struggle to get up or do simple things such as hold her baby. She had a few stitches on her taint and couldn't strain when taking a shit. I would much rather do that then have to go through another c section. #rantover

I'm feel the same way people don't realize how much a c section changes you body and you life. It's more life threatening that a normal birth honestly. You have a longer heal period and everything. You never know until your are in that situation

@soon2b2, I've never had the feelings of regret or sadness that I know a lot of other c section moms have, mainly because I have nothing to regret or be sad about. I did nothing wrong my body just can't deliver vaginally. And my baby was brought in to the world safely which was the most important thing to me. But I have a scar for the rest of my life. I have issues I didn't have before my c section. So it does change your life and it does change your body. But so does pregnancy in general. I can understand someone saying that just because you have a baby doesn't make you a mom but to say because of HOW you had a baby determines whether or not you're a mom just irks me. Those that haven't had a c section can't possibly know or begin to imagine what we go through. Not just physically but emotionally because the entire time you are just constantly worried about if everything is going to go well.

I completely understand because I had a c section as well with my first child and might be having another one if I don't go into labor on my own by 39 weeks. Its hard to move around and do normal things and to even hold your baby. Its a major surgery and the recovery was hard but that doesn't make me any less than a mom because I still carried him for 9 months and got cut open just to bring him into this world.

Exactly. You can't judge someone unless you walked in their shoes. I had a csection with my son and was so close to losing my life but I would do it all over again if I have too. Of course I wanna try a vbac because I've always wanted to try the natural birth but I'm content if I don't have one.
