How long will y'all be working before birth? I want to work up until my due date but with a job that requires heavy lifting, dealing with the public, and lots of standing I don't see how I'm gonna make it that long. Any advice, how did/are you ladies dealing with it?
I just got a job again about a week ago and plan to work up until the day my water breaks. But my feet and ankles have been extremely swollen, kinda scared my ob is gonna put me on bed rest 😩
It's not the job itself and the stuff that that comes with that I'm struggling with, it's more the people. My mouth is gonna get me in trouble real soon, having a hard time keeping my cool with them. I love my job, it keeps me busy, I just hate getting yelled at and berated for other people's mess up that I have no control over. @jwest267
I'm still working and on my feet moving for my entire shift. I do take more time to sit rather than stand to do some things but for the most part I feel great being up and moving around. plus walking is great for progressing labor so that's a plus 😄 Tylenol has become a must now though about halfway through 😅😅
@mommyof2016, ooh I see. @ginnalynn major props to you. I had to go to the hospital a week or 2 ago due to dehydration. I can handle the lifting, I can handle the being on my feet, it's the people I'm having a hard time dealing with.
I'm on my feet the whole 8hr shift. And I do A LOT of walking. I'm due September 13th and my last day of working will be September 9th. There are some days you're like "fuck it I wanna take my leave now" but just hang on in there. It's not easy.
