so ladies if your having contractions how many centimeters do you have to be in order for them to keep you ?? I'm just asking I'm not in labor lol

@showersoverflowers totally understand in that case lolll every state is different it's like where I live it's rare to have a home birth. everyone usually delivers in the hospital but that's cool. I learned something new
I was losing amniotic fluid at a rapid pace, two hours before I went in I soaked the floor my clothing and it never stopped coming out after that
North Dakota. where I live it's not unusual at all to deliver at home. I actually only know 1 other person who delivered at the hospital this year. Midwifery is really big here but I'm anemic and have a low platlet count so I did not want to go that route.

right??? I walked and bounced and did yoga haha it was slow progress. I was 38 weeks and live over an hour from the hospital. They won't break your water unless you are 39 weeks here...which makes sense in terms of development however the risk of me delivering at home was very real.

I was sent home at a 5 with bulging waters and effaced 90%.... With contractions every 2-3 minutes apart. I wasn't progressing fast enough for them so they took the risk and sent me on my way.

Actually depends on the situation and how far along you are. When I was pregnant with my daughter at 28 weeks I was 2cm dilated and they kept me.
