So I have sorta ruled out thrush as the reason my left breast is hurting so badly. Leaning towards clogged duct because it's been swelling since yesterday, engorged even after pumping and has a lone blister from bad latch. Been skeptical about lactation consultants because the one from the hossie was a joke😡. Any advice on relieving the swelling. I've done warm and cold compresses (even thought about submerging in a warm bath!!!) all only temporary. Right now I'm going sans bra and feel so much better. I just want to make it to at least six months (and more since this is my fourth and last😉) like I did with my other kids. My last go at this was 8 years ago😳! So any advice or tips appreciated!!!

If you have a blocked duct your breast will have a lump and it'll be sore and tender over the area. I had tons when my milk first came in; I just massaged the areas constantly and tried to feed the baby and pump as often as possible. Let warm water from the shower hit the area and massage at the same time. Put your own breast milk on the blister or cracked areas of the nipple, it'll make it heal the fastest.
