Cesarean section momma's, how long did your incision take to heal?

Not really. Mine feels pretty normal now and you can barely see it

Is the area still numb?

If there are openings and bleeding you need to get checked. Mine did that and they had to glue it again. Took about 8 weeks to feel better. Now at 5 months pp I have no pain or tenderness

@winnie633, Yup I had my c-section on the 29th of September and she told me to go to her office in a week to get the staples removed. The scar was closed already and they just put stari strips on it for another week. Every doctor I've seen says my c-section was incredible lol no scar no scared tissue that it looks like it never happened.

I think i have to visit the doctor for the openings though☹️

I feel like I'm finally getting back to myself now at 4 months

I had a bit of bleeding but it was a real small amount. I just let it heal naturally. I let the glue fall off on its own. I NEVER peeled it off. I also stayed off my stomach. I just had the discomfort from the surgery and pain. I went back to work 6 weeks after but I was in pain. Relax as much as you can.

I'm 10 months pp and I don't think you ever completely heal. It still hurts when they put pressure on it and it's still numb. Sometimes when I pick up heavy things or bend in a weird way it hurts too. It was closed by 2 weeks for me but I had staples

@gcpaschal, did you have any problems with yours? I gave birth 5th July, it was glued but it has 2 small openings that bleeds, is that normal you think?

at 6 weeks youll feel so much better. im 4 months pp n i still feel pain when i sneeze not too bad though

I would say I felt like it was totally healed at the 8 week Mark.
