babies are considered viable at 24 weeks. They require extensive and intensive care but they can make it. I actually have a close friend who's son just turned three...and born at 23 weeks gestation. He will forever have a tough time with certain things but he's a fighter and made it!
My bfs oldest niece was born around 27 weeks maybe alittle earlier I just know it's 3 mos preemie, she weighed 15oz no more and is turning 18 next month plus is a Senior in high school this year. Only problem she has long term...she doesn't have common sense...LITERALLY, due to her being born premature that area of the brain was undeveloped. So she gets in alot of trouble for doing shxt even tho it's a known problem she has and needs meds to really focus or she's just a mess lol.

yes but it can have complications, n be hooked up because their lungs are not even developed. I wouldn't want the baby to come at that time

I was born at 28 weeks and I was in the NICU and went home with a heart monitor and I still have heart problems to this day

just to give you an example they are very small and will have to be hooked up to monitors and stay in the hospital for a while @jazmin805

I didn't stay in the hospital long either just was born early . I have no problems .
