so b I keep hearing a debate about weed and pregnancy as well as pregnancy and breastfeeding. what are your ladies…

I smoked throughout most of my pregnancy and have had no problems. I've stopped now because I'm not sure if me testing positive will get CPS involved. I'm still trying to figure out breastfeeding though. My boyfriend and his family are rasta and said that the baby would be fine if I smoked while breastfeeding but I'm not really sure how I feel about it.

The smoke is what's harmful to the baby not the weed it's self. And breast feeding or formula feeding doesn't matter to me. As long as baby is fed and happy is all that matters

My boyfriends mother smoked while breastfeeding him. However, she only smokes papers. I hate papers lol. I don't knowww.. I wish I knew more people who did it. I know that there won't be enough THC passed through breast milk to create a high for him but I don't plan on smoking papers or out of glass. I like to roll leafs and definitely don't want him ingesting tobacco in anyway.

@amaperalta03, definitely. Weed itself isn't harmful (and please @cjones don't let any pretend know it alls on here try to tell you otherwise). I'm just worried about the tobacco, you know? I want my leafs back lol.

@jesjeslovesyou, in the beginning when I didn't know I was pregnant. I'm a Occasional smoker so I just stopped when I found out. But my boyfriend smokes and I'm around when he does.

@amaperalta03, not really. I bake goods and make tea but I'm a roller. I went from smoking 12 blunts a day to nothing. I want to smoke. I like edibles but it's not nearly as therapeutic as rolling and smoking.

@jesjeslovesyou, I didn't snow while pregnant but i will hit one every now and then. like i won't do it everyday. just sometimes just to relax.

I smoked pot up until i was 8 months & started back the day i got home from the hospital i breastfed too. Not saying you should or shouldn't but my daughter is healthy and i don't see anything wrong with it.

Smoking after my c section made my recovery process so much better! I was able to eat to keep up my milk supply when regularly i wouldn't have an appetite what so ever. And great stress relief!

@amaperalta03, have you tested positive since being around him while he smokes? I was just tested and haven't smoked in nearly three months and still tested positive. I'm not sure if it's because I'm around it so often.

@cjones, I'm definitely going to breastfeed and I'm definitely going to smoke. Since I haven't smoked in so long my tolerance might be down and I might like papers better if I feel that'll be better than leafs.

@jesjeslovesyou, blunts & bowls. The only benefit i could say that came from it (may not even been pot related) but my daughter has slept through the night since she was 6 weeks old & she loves to eat lol

@annabellemaesmommy, and do you smoke heavy? I know I won't smoke like I used to until I'm done breastfeeding.

my mother in law laughed when I said I would stop smoking for the baby Lmao. she was like what for. I stopped at 4 month pregnant. I mostly only dab now, breastfeeding twins and pretty much everyone I know does and I haven't witnessed a messed up person whose mom did it yet. and that includes adults. also includes myself, my mom used marijuana.

Its said to be calming to the baby, but doesnt give them a "high" & no i dont smoke like i used to lol i usually smoke in the morning and in the evening
