Can you get Braxton Hicks as early as 18 weeks if it's your first pregnancy? A few times this week I've randomly gotten a tightening feeling in my lower abdomen. It's really noticeable and my belly even feels firmer when it happens. It lasts like 15-20 seconds then just goes away. Could it be anything else?

@forevablessedx6, It doesn't hurt or anything, just feels very weird! I wish I knew that's what it was for sure but I'm not sure what else it could be. I've never felt anything like it before.

@egates, Yeah that's what is worrying me, it seems too early. I mean I'm closer to 19 weeks and she's measuring a little ahead but it still seems weird to me if that's what these are.

No problem definitely do that because sometimes it's not good when you get them so early @moonie

@alana_sunshine, @egates Thanks ladies! I'll drink more this weekend and if they are still happening I'll call Monday or go in earlier if they get more frequent.

They say it means you should drink more water I had Braxton hicks at 24 weeks & had to go to labor & delivery because my cervix was short I had to drink a lot of water to grow it back to its proper length so if you continue to have them I would suggest tell your doctor
