I had a pessary inserted and that worked for me, had it at 2pm Thursday and she was born 3:51pm Friday xxx

Okay thanks, how was the pain? that's what I've been told I'll have but was reading online that if it doesn't work I'll be put on the IV drip? But that's meant to be more painful

The pain depends on the individual person, but what I'd suggest is if you feel like you need pain killers then ask for them xx

The hormone drip brings on the contractions fast and strong hun x

I'm usually good with pain but my fear is that it'll be worse as it'll be brought on artificially @briony1994 have you had the hormone drip? @mummya

I haven't but my friend just has. She had an epidural after the first dose- it was then upped 3x

I had the hormone drip you will not physically be able to deal without pain relief with it like @mummya said its like ten fold pain to normal labour it's fast strong and unnatural for the body hence why you would need pain relief unless you've got a super high pain threshold I said no drugs at all I didn't even get an hour into the drip and needed the epidural xx

I never knew about it until after I had the epidural and the midwife than decided to tell me oh yeah your body can't cope with it because it's not natural and it causes your body to contract a lot faster and double the pain to natural labour I wish someone told me so. I could of saved myself that hour of fighting pain relief xx
